Barcelona are reportedly prepared to let Marcos Alonso and Sergi Roberto leave the club at the end of the season.

Both players are out of contract in the summer and have seen limited game time at the Nou Camp so far this campaign.

Football Espana have reported that Barcelona are set to release the pair rather than tie them down to new contracts.

LaLiga rivals Atletico Madrid are said to be keen on signing the pair, having already shown interest in signing Alonso during the summer transfer window.

There could be a way for Roberto to remain at the club, as the 31-year-old is willing to take a pay-cut despite already being the ‘lowest-paid senior player in the side’.

He has played just once since October, with only 299 minutes in seven appearances to his name this season.

The same can be said for Roberto, who has played just a minute more in the same amount of games.

The 31-year-old showed his worth with a Man of the Match display in a 3-2 victory over Almeria, scoring a brace to hand Xavi’s side the three points.
