Bundesliga hot shots Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy meet this weekend as Bayern Munich host Stuttgart with the man Manchester United should have signed facing the man they could look to bring in during the January window

There has been no surprise as to the amount of goals Harry Kane has scored at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich face Stuttgart on Sunday in a match which will see two of Europe’s most deadly strikers in action.

Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy have been breaking records in the Bundesliga this season, and there is just one point between the two sides going into the match.

It is the player that Manchester United arguably should have signed against the one they could look to buy next month.

United’s interest in both players is one of the only similarities to how their careers have played out to date. Bayern Munich signed Kane from Tottenham in a staggering £100m deal, while United could sign Guirassy for as low as £15m.

Kane has been around the block for the best part of a decade, while Guirassy like a shot out of a cannon, has exploded into life this season.

There is no surprise as to what Kane has achieved at Bayern Munich given that he holds the scoring record at Tottenham with 280 goals.

In his debut season for Bayern, he has scored 22 goals in 20 games across all competitions, while his 18 strikes in the Bavarian giants’ opening 12 Bundesliga games has represented a new division record.

His three hat-tricks at this point equals the feat set by Cologne’s Christian Muller and Gladbach’s Peter Meyer some 60 years ago.

If not the best, he is undoubtedly among the top three strikers in world football.

Guirassy, 27, on the other hand, has played for a number of sides across the last 10 years including Lille, Auxerre, Cologne, Amiens and Rennes.

For the majority of his career he has been nothing much more than a squad player, netting no more than 10 league goals at any of those clubs in a solitary season.

He enjoyed the best campaign of his career to date last term scoring 14 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions for Stuttgart – but still, there was no sign of what was about to come.

This term he has been rattling off records in a stunning season to help push Stuttgart from a side who have been battling relegation in recent years to one that could qualify for the Champions League.
