CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte FC today announced the Club has traded forward McKinze Gaines to Nashville SC in exchange for Nashville’s second round selection in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. That selection is the 38th overall pick.
Charlotte FC acquired Gaines from Austin FC with the first pick in the 2021 MLS Expansion Draft ahead of the Club’s inaugural season in 2022. Over two seasons in Charlotte, Gaines made 42 MLS appearances with 19 starts, scoring two goals and adding five assists.The Club would like to thank McKinze for his time in Charlotte and wishes him the best in Nashville.
