ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Pride and midfielder Angelina Alonso Costantino, more commonly known as Angelina, have agreed to a contract through the 2026 season, it was announced today. Angelina was a restricted free agent this offseason after spending the previous three seasons with OL Reign.

“Angelina is a dynamic midfielder, with tremendous potential, who has already demonstrated the ability to make impactful contributions at both the club and international levels,” VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter said. “Angelina was a priority free agent target for the Club because her spatial awareness, creativity, and ball control in build-up play are exactly what we look for in our midfielders. We’re confident she’ll thrive in our performance environment, and we consider ourselves fortunate to help her continue her growth and development here in Orlando. We expect Angelina will be a key piece for the Club moving forward and are thrilled to have her in purple!”

“I am really looking forward to being a part of the Orlando Pride. It’s such an exciting opportunity that the team has to make history moving forward,” Angelina said. “My goal is to help this team achieve great things and be a part of a championship side. I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and all of the fans in the city of Orlando!”

While with the OL Reign, Angelina appeared in 28 matches throughout her three seasons, four of which came in 2023. She tallied one assist, coming against Racing Louisville during the 2022 season, which served as her first professional goal contribution.

Angelina has seen action on both the youth and senior teams on the international stage throughout her career. She was originally named as an alternate for Brazil’s 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup roster before being elevated to the active roster. She debuted for the full national team during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and scored in her debut, giving Brazil a 3-0 lead over Argentina.

Prior to her senior national team debut, the midfielder served as the captain of the Brazil U20 women’s national team and won multiple Southern American U20 championships. She was also named to the IFFHS CONMEBOL Youth Women Team of the Year 2020.
