SEATTLE – Washington men’s soccer student-athletes Nate Jones and Kalani Kossa-Rienzi have been invited to the 2023 adidas Major League Soccer (MLS) Showcase, the league announced today.

The four-day event will take place December 6-9 in Phoenix, Ariz. It is designed to give technical staffs from every MLS club the opportunity to scout the top collegiate prospects ahead of MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday, Dec. 19. The College Showcase is a closed-door scouting event officially sanctioned by the NCAA.

Jones played in 58 career games for the Huskies – including ever game over the past two seasons. This past year, Jones was named First Team All-Conference after notching three goals and a pair of assists while holding down the Washington backline.

Kossa-Rienzi is a two-time First Team All-Pac-12 selection. In three seasons as a Husky, he has recorded over 6,000 minutes with six goals and 11 assists in 76 matches. During the 2023 season, Kossa-Rienzi played all 90 minutes in 12 of the 18 matches and was ranked the 52nd-overall player midseason by TopDrawerSoccer.
