HOUSTON – Concacaf announced earlier today that Shell Energy Stadium will be one of four venues to host matches for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup, the region’s new flagship competition for women’s national teams.
The tournament’s inaugural edition will be played between February 17 – March 10, 2024, and will include Concacaf and CONMEBOL’s best women’s national teams and some of the world’s top players.
Shell Energy Stadium will host six Concacaf W Gold Cup games beginning on Feb. 22 with the Canadian Women’s National team confirmed to play in the Space City. A schedule of matches at Shell Energy Stadium can be found below:

The remaining national teams that will compete in Houston will be determined on December 11, 2023, when Concacaf conducts the official draw for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup. The event will start at 6:00 pm CT and will stream live on CBS | Paramount+ for fans in the United States and ESPN (Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, and South America).
Tickets will be available to the public following the official Draw on December 11.

Prelims: Six teams
The 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup will begin with a Preliminary Round (Prelims) played at Dignity Health Sports Park Track and Field Stadium on February 17, 2024. The six national teams participating in this round, determined via the 2023 Road to Concacaf W Gold Cup, will be divided into three pairings according to the Concacaf Women’s Ranking as of December 2023.
After single-match elimination play, the winning team in each pairing will advance to the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup Group Stage. Thus far, El Salvador has secured its participation in the Prelims. The remaining five participants will be confirmed at the conclusion of the 2023 Road to Concacaf W Gold Cup.
Group Stage: 12 teams
