Vancouver FC Hosts Sp’óq’es’ Sleigh Toy Drive in Support of Toy Mountain 2023

Langley, BC – Vancouver Football Club announced today that it’s hosting the first Sp’óq’es’ Sleigh Toy Drive in support of Toy Mountain 2023.

Fans and community members are encouraged to donate new unwrapped toys and gift cards for children, tweens, and teens with the goal of filling “Sp’óq’es’ Sleigh” (VFC’s Volkswagen Atlas) to the roof.

VFC will be accepting donations from Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 until Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 between the hours of 9 a.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT at the Vancouver FC office between Gate 4 & 5 of the Langley Event Centre. Sp’óq’es and staff from VFC will deliver all gifts to Toy Mountain on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at Guildford Town Centre.

“We are excited to get into the holiday spirit with our first Sp’óq’es’ Sleigh Toy Drive,” said Stephanie Wood, VP of Marketing and Brand Development, Vancouver FC. “As fun as the holiday season is, it can also be a very financially stressful time for some members of our community. We want to use our platform to help bring communities together through the season of giving and to support local youth and families.”

Acceptable donations include toys and gift cards that would be appropriate for youth from newborn infants to 18-year-olds. All toys and gift cards must be new and unwrapped to be accepted for the toy drive. Clothing is an acceptable donation but items must be new, unused, and have their tags still attached. All donations to VFC in support of Toy Mountain 2023 directly benefit the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau (LMCB) who help families and children create holiday experiences of sharing and giving.
