NCAA Tournament Bracket
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) –
After a perfect opening weekend in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament, five Atlantic Coast Conference teams look to improve on the league’s 5-0 start with second and third- round action beginning on Friday.
Friday’s slate begins at 3:30 p.m. when third-seeded North Carolina squares off with sixth-seeded Alabama from Lubbock, Texas, in a match that features two teams from last season’s College Cup. At 4 p.m., third-seeded Notre Dame takes on sixth-seeded Memphis in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Fighting Irish look to advance to the third round for the second consecutive season.
Top seeds Florida State and Clemson begin their respective second-round matchups at 5:30 p.m., as the Seminoles host eighth-seeded Texas A&M, while the Tigers welcome eighth-seeded Columbia to Historic Riggs Field. FSU is one of only two teams in Division I without a loss on the season, as its .972 winning percentage is tops in the nation. Clemson, which received a No. 1 seed for the first time in program history, looks to advance to the Round of 16 for the first time since 2020.
Seventh-seeded Pitt looks to build on its 6-0 first-round victory over Ohio State last Saturday and advance to the third round for the second straight season. The Panthers head to second-seeded Arkansas for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. ESPN+ will broadcast all second and third-round matchups.
The ACC is one of only three conferences with multiple teams in the NCAA Tournament that have an unbeaten record (Ivy League, 4-0 and Big 12, 3-0).
