Postseason Comes to The Farm

INDIANAPOLIS – Stanford has been named the No. 16 seed in the NCAA tournament and will host the winner of Omaha and Missouri State on Sunday, November 19 at 5 p.m. at Cagan Stadium. By virtue of earning a top-16 seed in the tournament, Stanford receives a first round bye.

The Cardinal will learn its opponent following Omaha and Missouri State’s match on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. PT.

This tournament berth marks Stanford’s 10th in the last 11 seasons and comes on the heels of an appearance in the third round of the NCAA tournament a year ago.

Stanford brings a dominant offense to the national stage, ranking fifth in the NCAA in assists per game (2.76), eighth in points per game (7.12), 14th in scoring offense (2.18), and 16th in total goals (37), all marks that top the Pac-12 as well.

The Cardinal has one of the most recent dominant national championship performances in NCAA history, claiming three straight titles from 2015-2017. Stanford also reached the College Cup in 2019, the most recent of its seven College Cup appearances.

Tickets for Sunday’s second round NCAA Tournament match go on sale at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday, November 14.
