Spartan Men’s Soccer Earns No. 3 Seed in Big Ten Tournament

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men’s soccer has earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament. MSU will host No. 6-seeded Ohio State on Friday, Nov. 3 at DeMartin Stadium. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date.

The No. 3 seed is the best for the Spartans since the 2017 season when they were also No. 3. That season they hosted Ohio State at DeMartin Stadium, with the Buckeyes coming out on top, 2-1. Michigan State is seeking its first Big Ten Tournament win since 2016.

Michigan State ended the 2023 regular season with a 7-1-7 record and were 3-1-4 record in Big Ten play. The Spartans’ only loss this season came against Ohio State at DeMartin Stadium on Oct. 24. The Buckeyes scored a late goal to come away with the 3-2 win.
