FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All four New England Revolution Academy teams were in action last weekend, traveling to play against Toronto FC Academy at BMO Training Ground.

Raphael Alves (2007 – Framingham, Mass.) tallied the lone goal for the U-17s in the 32nd minute in the team’s 3-1 loss. Brian Brooks (2009 – Waltham, Mass.) notched his fourth goal of the season in the 62nd minute of the U-14s 2-1 loss. The U-19s and U-17s both fell in their matches by scores of 3-0 and 2-0, respectively.


The U-15s, U-17s, and U-19s will now head to the Maryland SoccerPlex for the MLS NEXT Flex Tournament, competing for potential playoff qualification. 32 total teams will qualify for the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs in each age division, with sixteen additional teams earning qualification through the MLS NEXT Flex Tournament.

The U-17s will begin group play on Saturday, May 13 at 11:30 a.m. ET with their match vs. FC Delco streaming live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. They’ll continue action against Chula Vista FC on Sunday, May 14 and Weston FC on Tuesday, May 16. The U-15s are set to take on Players Development Academy, RSL Arizona, and Southern Soccer Academy while the U-19s open their MLS NEXT Flex Tournament action vs. Shattuck St. Mary’s, Real JFC, and Strikers FC. Revolution MLS & MLS NEXT Highlights:

U-19 midfielder Ezra Widman (2005 – New York, N.Y.) marked his first appearance with Revolution II last Saturday entering as a substitute in the 85th minute vs. New York City FC II.

The U-19s enter the MLS NEXT Flex tournament at 10-1-2 and will take on Shattuck St. Mary’s, Real JFC, and Strikers FC in Group G.

Taking on FC Delco, Chula Vista FC, and Weston FC in Maryland, the U-17s own a 10-2-1 record in MLS NEXT Flex.

The U-15s (9-2-2) will face Players Development Academy, RSL Arizona, and Southern Soccer Academy in Group J.

The U-14s stand at 13-6-5 heading into the final two weeks of their MLS NEXT regular season.
