Leicester fixtures compared to Everton, Leeds & Nottingham Forest after Fulham thrashing

Dean Smith

Leicester’s catastrophic season took another turn for the worse on Monday as they were comprehensively beaten by Fulham to further heighten their Premier League relegation fears.

The Foxes were 3-0 down heading into half time after goals from Willian, Carlos Vinicius and Tom Cairney before the latter grabbed his second at the start of the second period.

Harvey Barnes pulled one back for the visitors and Jamie Vardy missed a penalty before Willian got another. James Maddison’s spot kick and Barnes’ second did reduce the deficit but interim boss Dean Smith was ultimately consigned to a heavy 5-3 defeat in a game they desperately needed to win.

Here’s how the Foxes’ final league fixtures compare to relegation rivals Everton, Leeds and Nottingham Forest.

The major problem for Leicester is they are running out of winnable fixtures.

The trip to Craven Cottage on Monday was arguably their best opportunity to register three points before the final day when they host West Ham, who essentially secured their safety with a recent victory over Manchester United.

Smith’s side host a Liverpool team on the hunt for Champions League football and Newcastle, who have only been beaten five times in the Premier League all season.

Leicester showed some fight in reducing the margin of defeat against Fulham, though more poor defensive displays will make it awfully difficult to stay up.

Fixture

14/05/23 – 14:00

Everton vs Manchester City

Wolves vs Everton

Everton vs Bournemouth

Leicester’s defeat opened the door for two relegation threatened sjde playing on Monday to drag the Foxes further into the mire.

Everton were up first and earned a stunning 5-1 win at Brighton to leap out of the relegation zone.

It’s their final two games where the Merseysiders will be targeting six points, facing Wolves and Bournemouth after hosting Manchester City. It would take a small miracle for Dyche to lead Everton to victory over Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and co.
