Forward Madison FC Unveils 2023 Preseason Schedule

Forward Madison FC traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee for the first time in club history to face USL League One newcomer One Knoxville SC. Forward entered the match unbeaten, with 1 win and 3 draws on the season. Knoxville came in with 2 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses in the young USL League One season. The match began shortly after 6pm CT.


Mauro Cichero got the Flamingos started with an early chance in the box in the 3rd minute for FMFC. His shot went right at the Knoxville keeper for an easy save. After the initial pressure from FMFC, Knoxville settled into the match and created a couple of dangerous chances in the later part of the half. The clubs entered halftime level at 0-0 with the match for the taking.

The second half was largely played in the middle of the pitch with both squads trading possession trying to forge any inroads into the defense they could. A flurry of corner kicks in the last 15 minutes of the match led to chances for both clubs, but neither was able to convert and the contest ended even at 0-0.

Next up, Forward Madison will remain on the road with a matchup against North Carolina FC on Saturday, May 13th at 6pm CT. The next home match for Forward Madison is on Thursday, May 18th at 7pm against Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. Tickets are available for that match here.
