HOUSTON – The Chicago Red Stars opened Challenge Cup play tonight against the Houston Dash and were unable to walk away with points after a 2-0 loss.

5’Houston score off a free kick lofted from left to right into Chicago’s 18-yard box that Houston’s Olivieri is able to get a foot on and past Alyssa Naeher


45+1′ A pass finds Jenna Bike open on the right side of Houston’s 18-yard box, but her shot is deflected by Houston’s Campbell

58′ A free kick from Houston comes dangerously close to the Red Stars’ goal, but Naeher is able to get a hand on it and push it out of harms way

61′ Jenna Bike carries the ball 20 yards up the pitch and takes a right-footed shot but Houston’s keeper corral’s the ball

72′ Houston converts a penalty kick awarded after a foul in the box by the Red Stars on Houston’s Alozie
