The Colorado Rapids (1-3-6, 9 pts) extended their unbeaten run to six games in MLS with a 0-0 road draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2-2-5, 11 pts) at BC Place. The scoreless game marked the 30th clean sheet for Rapids goalkeeper William Yarbrough, who now has the most clean sheets in club history.

Notable:

GK William Yarbrough set an all-time record for most clean sheets in club history with 30. He recorded his second game of the season with five or more saves, tallying five saves against the Whitecaps.

Tonight’s result extended the Rapids’ current unbeaten run to seven matches across all competitions, extending their longest such stretch since a 12-game undefeated streak from August 2021 to September 2021.

M Danny Leyva made his Rapids debut when he substituted into the match in the 89th minute. The 19-year-old midfielder was recently acquired on loan from Seattle Sounders FC.

Vancouver has kept clean sheets in four consecutive matches, only the third time in club history they have done so in MLS play. The last time they managed four consecutive clean sheets in league play was in October 2014.

And he’s in a tremendous run of form at the moment. And you see the saves, and you see the saves he’s made all year, and I think it’s a pretty astute question to ask about not him as a goalkeeper, but about him as a leader.
