The Premier League players at risk of suspension before Gameweek 32

Adam Smith

With the Premier League coming close to its dramatic conclusion, nobody wants to be picking up suspensions that could see them miss a crucial match.

That being said, it is also the time of the season when players have to throw caution to the wind and do whatever it takes to get the correct result.

On that note, here are the players who will have the threat of suspension looming over them as they take the field over the weekend in the Premier League.

While not one of the biggest names in the Premier League, Adam Smith has been one of Bournemouth’s most consistent performers all season long and it would be a big blow for the Cherries to lose him.

He has played 34 games this season at right back for Bournemouth who are locked in a fierce relegation fight. If he were to be booked against Leeds this weekend, he would miss the home game against Chelsea.

Fabinho is a player who has really divided opinion among Liverpool fans so far this season. There is no denying he has had a largely poor year and many think he no longer makes Liverpool’s best starting XI.

He has been starting in midfield as normal during this recent run of victories Liverpool have enjoyed and the good news is he will be available for the big game against Spurs.

Should he get booked there, which is very possible, he will miss a home game against Fulham which may be easier for Jurgen Klopp to deal with.

Ivan Toney

This is a serious concern for Brentford because it is hard to imagine Ivan Toney can get through all of the remaining games without picking up a yellow card at some point. He has been the key player for the Bees all season and they are undoubtedly weaker without him.

They take Nottingham Forest this weekend ina game they will back themselves to win. After that, Brentford have a much tougher trip to Liverpool, one they will certainly want to have Toney on the pitch for. He has scored 19 times in the Premier League this season which is an incredible 38% of Brentford’s league goals.

Don’t be surprised if Thomas Frank takes the striker off the pitch if Brentford can get into an early lead against Forest this weekend.
