HARRISON, NJ – Riding a streak of three consecutive victories and three clean sheets in all competitions, Gotham FC looks to continue its winning ways, as the club embarks on a three-game road swing, beginning this Saturday April 30 against the Kansas City Current at Children’s Mercy Park (6 p.m. ET, Paramount+).
Gotham FC secured the club’s second consecutive regular season victory on Saturday, April 22, when Lynn Williams scored in the 80th minute for the 1-0 win over the North Carolina Courage at Red Bull Arena. Gotham FC defeated the Washington Spirit 1-0 on April 19 in the opening match of the UKG Challenge Cup that followed the club’s 2-0 victory over the Orlando Pride on April 15.
With another three-game week on the horizon, kicking off this Sunday in Kansas City, Gotham FC aims to maintain its momentum against the Current.

Lynn Williams Hits Milestone Markers: 60 Goals and 10,000 Minutes
Acquired via trade with the Kansas City Current in January, Williams is experiencing a triumphant comeback campaign with Gotham FC after missing all of last season due to a severe hamstring injury. Williams has four goals in five regular season games in 2023. Her goal on Saturday night was the 60th of her NWSL career, tying with Christine Sinclair for second most all-time in league history. Williams also made her USWNT return earlier this year and scored a goal in her first match back in international competition. In Saturday’s win over the NC Courage, the Gotham FC forward passed the 10,000-minute mark of regular season NWSL play, becoming the 38th player to reach the milestone.
Season Debutants
The April 22 match marked the 2023 season debut of Delanie Sheehan, who entered in the 86th minute to replace forward Yazmeen Ryan. The match also marked the first regular season appearance for midfielder Nealy Martin, who celebrated her 25th birthday on matchday.

Gotham FC has faced the Current in four matches since Kansas City joined the NWSL in 2021. Gotham FC is looking to pick up their first win against Kansas City, having gone 0-2-2 to date.
