Julian Nagelsmann ‘tells Tottenham he wants the final say in transfer dealings’ if he is to take over the reigns in north London… with the club in turmoil following Cristian Stellini sacking

  • Nagelsmann has been linked with the Tottenham job since Antonio Conte left
  • The German is still favourite to take the reigns but has laid down his demands
  • Stellini was sacked on Monday following the side’s 6-1 defeat at Newcastle

Julian Nagelsmann is demanding a key role in transfer decision making if he is to take the Tottenham job, according to a report.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new manager after Antonio Conte was sacked last month, with Cristian Stellini relieved on his interim duties on Monday.

Nagelsmann has been in the running since Conte left his role, but little progress seems to have been made in making the appointment.

Spurs are looking for their third permanent manager in two years following Conte’s exit, and are on their third manager of this season with Ryan Mason taking over from Stellini.

But according to The Independent, Nagelsmann has told Tottenham that he wants control of transfer dealings if he is to be tasked with turning the club’s fortunes around.
