Cavalry FC Signs Defender Bradley Kamdem to 2023 Roster

Calgary, AB – Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League have signed 28-year-old French-Canadian defender Bradley Kamdem from Valletta FC of the Malta Premier League on a multi-year deal.

Born in Paris, France to Cameroonian parents, Kamdem and his family moved to Calgary at an early age, where he spent his youth career playing for Calgary Chinooks before pursuing a University career at Huntington University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2015, Kamdem made his return to Calgary, joining USL League Two Side Calgary Foothills FC.


In 2016, Kamdem was drafted in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft by Colorado Rapids, but instead signed with USL side Rochester Rhinos where he made 54 appearances for the side. In 2018, he transferred to USL club Fresno FC, making 22 appearances, and providing three assists across all competitions before transferring to Saint Louis FC where he made 20 appearances, providing two assists. Completing his stint in USL with Atlanta United 2, he made 29 appearances, scoring one goal.

Kamdem has most recently played for Malta Premier League side Valletta FC, where he has made 22 appearances across all competitions.

He is a very intelligent defender, with a lovely left foot and outstanding athleticism,” says Cavalry FC head Coach and General manager, Tommy Wheeldon Jr. “He has an infectious personality, which his teammates and supporters will quickly grow to appreciate. I’m delighted we could bring him home to Calgary after a very good professional career and myself and our staff look forward to working with him once again.”

Cavalry FC will be making their return to ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows on April 30th as they host their home opener against Valour FC.
