Todd Boehly reportedly sacked Thomas Tuchel days after the German boss denied the owner entry into the dressing room at half-time with a group of guests.
In the latest of a number of dressing room mishaps to have emerged in reports in recent days, talkSPORT claim that Boehly attempted to bring a group of guests, including children, into the Chelsea dressing room during their 2-1 win over West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
It’s never been entirely clear why Tuchel was sacked by Boehly, with reports suggesting the pair clashed over transfers during the summer transfer window, but other tensions were clearly bubbling under the surface.
With the scores level at half-time, Boehly tried to take a group of guests into the Chelsea dressing room but was denied entry and forced to return to his seat in the directors’ box.
The match in question ended up being Tuchel’s last in the Premier League, with the Champions League-winning manager given his marching orders days later after defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.
Boehly’s reported blunders, of which there have been many, are currently focusing on an apparent obsession with the Chelsea dressing room.
The Blues owner entered the Chelsea dressing room after the club’s 2-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday to deliver a ‘rallying pep talk’.
It is understood that Boehly described the current league position of the club as ’embarrassing’ and made it clear that Chelsea ‘had spent £600 million in the transfer market to win and that they have been falling short of expectations’.
An insider is said to have thought the whole thing ‘weird’ with another report claiming ‘one senior player, signed for a large fee in the past 12 months, was singled out for heavy criticism’ by the owner.

And a further report claimed the Chelsea players were ‘taken aback’ as Boehly, Mykhaylo Mudryk and his advisors were granted entry on the day of the Palace game after the Ukrainian was paraded around Stamford Bridge having signed from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The report added: ‘The changing room area is widely viewed as a sacred place for players, particularly prior to kick-off when they are mentally preparing for matches, with strict rules over who is allowed into the space on match-days.’
