INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven is proud to welcome Indiana-based sports broadcast journalist Haley Jordan as the host of Undrafted, presented by spokenote the club’s new player development-based docuseries.
As the host of Undrafted, Jordan will chronicle players from across the country who will descend up on Indiana looking to prove their skills throughout the remainder of 2023, all in the hopes of earning a coveted spot in Indy Eleven’s 2024 preseason camp next February. Jordan will cover Undrafted games taking place prior to Indy Eleven’s men’s and women’s games from May through July and travel wherever the best stories take her to introduce the personalities chasing their professional dream. “I am thrilled to be the new host for Undrafted and tell these athletes’ stories on and off the field. As a sports reporter, I love the statistics side of the game but have always been more drawn to the back stories of players and how they got to professional status,” explained Jordan, a 2020 graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington. “I’ve found not every athlete’s path is linear or traditional, and each person has a unique inspiration and cause. As the new host of Undrafted, I am eager to uncover the paths of these potential soccer pros and take you along for the journey to see which of these talents might one day add ‘Indy Eleven player’ to their name.”
Jordan currently serves as a sports reporter with Sports Illustrated Indiana/FanNation. Her versatile coverage with the outlet includes work as a sideline reporter, host, staff writer and video editor for Indiana, Fastbreak NBA and Fastball MLB websites. Jordan also freelances for ESPN+, where she has served as an analyst for Division I volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball broadcasts and as a sideline reporter for multiple sports.
Prior to those roles, Jordan was a sports reporter and producer at CBS affiliate WIFR in Rockford, Ill., where she covered the NFL’s Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers and MLB’s Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers. Additional broadcast and journalism experience came via roles here in the Hoosier State with WISH-TV, FOX59, and IU Newsroom.
