De Gea close to new deal as Man Utd are made favourites for Serie A striker

David De Gea is said to be on the verge of signing a new contract at Manchester United, assuming the deal is still on the table when he returns from Sevilla…

DE GEA DEAL ALMOST DONE
Manchester United are close to agreeing a new deal with David De Gea. That’s the news you Red Devils wanted to hear this morning, isn’t it?

According to Forbes, an agreement over extending the goalkeeper’s stay at Old Trafford beyond the end of the season is on the verge of being signed. That story, though, was published before De Gea dropped several bollocks against Sevilla on Thursday night.

Villa are likely to be a much more tempting proposition for their targets, which include Pau Torres. Emery managed the Spain defender at Villarreal and though Football Insider suggests he will be offered a new deal to stay where he is, Villa are set to make their…
