Mourinho to reunite with Spurs star at PSG this summer?

Did PSG see what happened at Spurs under Jose Mourinho and fancy a bit of that? Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney to Manchester City…

KANE AND USED-TO-BE ABLE
It seems that PSG watched what happened under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham and thought ‘that went really bloody well’ and decided to recreate the magic. Because two separate reports suggest that they want to reunite Mourinho with Harry Kane in the French capital.

La Parisien claim that sporting director Luis Campos wants to freshen up his attack – and he might be forced into a change with Lionel Messi stalling over a new contract – and with club chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi having a good relationship with Daniel Levy, it seems that they are targeting the £100m-plus Kane.

Now we know that Spurs will be reluctant to sell but they will be rather less reluctant to sell to a non-Premier League rival. The only real question might be whether Kane would be willing to give up the chance to potentially be the Premier League all-time top scorer for the actual silverware on offer in Paris.

Will the presence of Mourinho encourage or deter him? According to calciomercato, Antonio Conte is being lined up by Roma as a replacement for the Portuguese being targeted by PSG.

Also linked with PSG is Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

WARD-PROWSE IN DEMAND
Southampton look pretty much doomed and the first man out of the door might be captain James Ward-Prowse, who will be granted a transfer. There will be no shortage of suitors for his signature with three Premier League clubs mentioned as possible destinations.

Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham are all mentioned, though Newcastle would seem the most likely because at least we know who their manager will be next season, while David Moyes is likely to leave the Hammers this summer while the new Tottenham boss is as yet unknown. There might be a big difference between what Vincent Kompany or Luis Enrique would want.

MAN CITY TARGET TIERNEY
This feels unlikely but FootballTransfers claim that ‘Manchester City are following Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney with a view to making a potential summer transfer for the Scotland international’. So having sold a left-back to the Gunners, they are now going to buy the man he replaced?

Arsenal would certainly be reluctant to sell Tierney to a title rival, though the prospect of selling him to Newcastle United would be equally as unappealing.

Tierney is among nine players that could leave Arsenal on a permanent deal…
