Angel City Football Club to Host Angel City Equity House in Australia this Summer

LOS ANGELES – Angel City Football Club today announced that this summer, the team will welcome guests to Australia for a curated experience to celebrate soccer, network and participate in meaningful conversations, and make a lasting impact in the local community.


Supported by Johnnie Walker Blended Scotch Whisky, the team’s founding and exclusive spirits partner, the Angel City Equity House will run a variety of programming and experiences in Sydney from July 31-August 7. Guests will enjoy world-class women’s soccer, attend live events hosted by the club, and participate in volunteer impact opportunities. The content of all events will be produced and amplified by Hello Sunshine, a US-based media brand and content company dedicated to female authorship and storytelling across all platforms.

The pinnacle of the experience will take place on August 4 when Angel City will host the Angel City Equity Summit at Sydney’s iconic Opera House. Programmed more as a meeting of the minds and powerful discussion than a typical conference format, Angel City co-founders Natalie Portman, Julie Uhrman, and Kara Nortman and 100 leaders from sport, tech, entertainment, and business, will gather to share experiences, discuss pathways toward pay equity, and participate in candid conversations for guests to bring home to make an impact.

Confirmed guests include Portman, Uhrman, and Nortman, as well as FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia COO Jane Fernandez, US soccer legend Julie Foudy, CEO of Hello Sunshine, Sarah Harden, Head of Legacy for Football Australia, Sarah Walsh, USWNT Players Association Executive Director Becca Roux, former FIFA Executive Committee member Moya Dodd, and other Angel City investors, partners, and friends to be announced soon.

During this stretch of events, customized storytelling will complement the conversations that will take in perspectives from those closest to the growth of the women’s game, women’s sports, and women’s issues as a whole.
