Major boost for Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd as £66m striker edges towards Serie A exit

Dusan-Vlahovic

Juventus centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic reportedly wants to leave the Serie A at the end of the season, amid interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Blues are definitely the most in need of a new striker, though, after struggling to score goals consistently this term and sliding to 11th place in the Premier League table.

Vlahovic could potentially have the quality to turn their scoring form around, but Chelsea will have to put their money where their mouth is to get a deal over the line.

According to outlet CalcioMercatothe Serbia international has taken the decision to leave Juventus in the summer after a season in which he has been under pressure.

The report notes that Chelsea are thought to be leading the race for his signature, with Bayern Munich also in the race.

Also, as stated by Football365, Arsenal’s interest in Vlahovic has ‘never gone away,’ while he also remains on Man Utd’s radar.

Indeed, the centre-forward almost moved to the Premier League last year when the Gunners tried to sign him from Fiorentina.

While these aren’t fantastic numbers, this season, he has struggled with injuries, so it’s not really a fair representation of his abilities.

Nevertheless, Juventus are thought to be unconvinced over the Serbian forward and could look to offload him this summer.

Also, this is still more goals than any Chelsea player has managed this term and Vlahovic still has the potential to improve.

CalcioMercato add that the Blues have decided to pursue either Vlahovic or Napoli goal machine Victor Osimhen this summer, but a deal for the Juve man would be easier to complete.

As mentioned, Chelsea’s lack of a quality centre-forward has had a detrimental affect on their results this season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has failed to have the desired impact since joining the Blues from Barcelona last summer, so Kai Havertz has been forced to play out of position as a striker.

Their lack of a natural centre forward has been reflected in their Premier League results, with Chelsea currently in 11th place in the Premier League table and on track for their worst season since 1995 – despite spending ridiculous sums of money.

With that in mind, Vlahovic could be a valuable signing for Chelsea, but as mentioned,…
