Thanks to club partner BrightSpring Health Services, every Louisville City FC goal will mean a bit more during the 2023 season.
BrightSpring will donate $100 for every shot on goal to the LouCity & Racing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to make organized soccer – and its associated good health habits – accessible to youth throughout the region.
LouCity has raised $1,800 and counting through the fundraiser ahead of Saturday night’s game at the Charleston Battery, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. in South Carolina.
“BrightSpring is committed to improving the health of community members of all ages in every city where we do business,” said Jim Mattingly, CFO of BrightSpring Health Services. “Being headquartered in Louisville makes achieving that mission here even more important. Our partnership with Louisville City FC will help youth excel in life – and soccer – which is central to helping us achieve our goal.”
Louisville-based BrightSpring Health Services is the leading provider of complementary home- and community-based health services for complex populations in need of specialized and/or chronic care. The company has more than 45 years of experience connecting people with caregivers and support services to improve outcomes for patients, clients, and families.
To count as a shot on goal, the shot must result in either a goal or save by the opposing team’s goalkeeper. LouCity attempted 193 shots on goal last season.
“There’s just that much more motivation knowing every time we create a quality chance, we’re also giving back to our community,” said LouCity striker Wilson Harris. “It’s great to see a club partner step up in this way to support the LouCity & Racing Foundation.”
As part of its partnership, BrightSpring also offers complimentary use of sensory bags at Lynn Family Stadium available each game at Guest Services outside section 115.
