Liverpool ‘making a move’ for Man Utd, Arsenal target; Man City hit ‘pole’ for Bellingham

Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch heads to the subs bench

Liverpool are attempting to sign a Bayern Munich midfielder this summer, while Manchester City are now leading the race for Jude Bellingham…

LIVERPOOL ON THE OFFENSIVE
Jurgen Klopp and the recruitment team at Liverpool are looking to get ahead of the competition this summer and make an early move for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Reds have struggled this season with Klopp’s side currently eighth in the Premier League table, 12 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United – who occupy the final Champions League spot – and 29 points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

There are a number of theories as to why Liverpool have been poor this season with many blaming the club’s midfield after Liverpool failed to strengthen that area in either of the last two transfer windows.

And now a midfielder is their top target for the summer transfer window with Liverpool linked with numerous midfielders after dropping out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham this week.

They will now turn their attentions to a cheaper option in the form of Bayern Munich’s Gravenberch with Fussball Transfers claiming Liverpool are ‘making a move’ for the Netherlands international.

It is understood that ‘prominent interested parties’ including Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in signing Gravenberch.

And, with the competition heating up for the midfielder, Liverpool are ‘now going on the offensive’ in an attempt to get ahead of the other suitors.

Fussball Transfers points to a report from Christian Falk, in which the Bild reporter reveals a meeting ‘between those responsible for Liverpool and Gravenberch’s advisors’ but that Bayern Munich are ‘not interested’ in selling.

MAN CITY ON POLE FOR BELLINGHAM
Manchester City are leading the race to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, according to reports, after Liverpool pulled out of the race.

It was understood that Liverpool had made Bellingham their top target for the summer transfer window but a recent report revealed that the rising cost of signing the player made a transfer unrealistic.

Klopp also confirmed that the club won’t be signing the England international in his latest press conference, leaving Manchester City with a better chance of signing the midfielder.

And now the Daily Mirror claim that Man City are ‘in pole position’ to sign Bellingham with Dortmund asking for £130m from any club wanting to buy him…
