Leeds vs Liverpool – Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Eyes will be on Alessia Russo & Leah Williamson this week

Liverpool will look to arrest a slump of five games without a win when they visit Leeds on Monday night.

United are one the sides scrambling to secure their top flight status but recent wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest have boosted their cause.

The Reds’ poor run has seen them slip out of Champions League qualification contention and into eighth place.

Here’s what you need to know about the weekend’s curtain-closer.

Leeds team news

Leeds have no new injury concerns going into Monday night’s game but remain without Stuart Dallas, Tyler Adams and Maximilian Wober.

Patrick Bamford has got the nod over Rodrigo up front in Leeds’ last couple of fixtures and his goal against Crystal Palace – albeit in a 5-1 defeat – should see him feature from the start once more.

Leeds predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Meslier; Ayling, Koch, Struijk, Firpo; McKennie, Roca; Harrison, Aaronson, Sinisterra; Bamford.

Liverpool team news

Luis Diaz could make his long-awaited return from injury, having missed six months of action after damaging knee ligaments in a 3-2 defeat at Arsenal.

He isn’t likely to start, however, with manager Jurgen Klopp facing a selection dilemma after seeing Roberto Firmino come off the bench to equalise against the Gunners last week.

Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Nunez, Gakpo, Salah.

There’s potential for a wonderfully chaotic encounter to take place on Monday night. Leeds are infamously poor in defence and have a symmetrical record of five wins, draws and losses apiece at home in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool showed their out of form squad isn’t ready for the scrapheap just yet by coming from two goals down to draw with Arsenal. They should find plenty of holes in United’s creaking defence to come away from West Yorkshire with all three points.

Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Liverpool
