CHESTER, Pa. – Philadelphia Union II went head-to-head against Chicago Fire FC II at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday evening, winning 2-1. Chicago took an early lead to the match, when forward Missael Rodríguez found the back of the net in the 13th minute. Union II took a chance at the equalizer in the 22nd minute, when a free kick from defender Juan Castillo dropped right on the feet of forward Richard Odada in front of goal, but the ball was secured by Chicago’s keeper. In the second half, the two sides continued to be threatening on the attack with back-and-forth action in the box. The equalizer was found in the 71st minute from a penalty kick by homegrown defender Brandan Craig. Forward Nelson Pierre sent a cross into the box to find the feet of midfielder David Vazquez wide open on the back post, putting the Union II up 2-1 and ultimately securing the win in the 81st minute.
