Man Utd seen as ‘ideal destination’ for striker with summer move agreed; Ten Hag identifies De Gea ‘heir’

Man Utd target Benjamin Sesko balances a ball on his head

Premier League side Man Utd are still monitoring a potential move for RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils are still on the lookout for a new striker in the summer transfer window with Erik ten Hag keen to take some of the goalscoring burden away from Marcus Rashford.

Man Utd still haven’t replaced Cristiano Ronaldo on a permanent basis after he left Old Trafford by mutual consent in November following a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Ten Hag was finally able to add a new striker to his squad in January with the addition of Wout Weghorst on a loan deal from Burnley until the end of the season.

Man Utd are seen as the ‘ideal destination’ for Sesko with Ten Hag’s reputation for being brave enough to play young players a deciding factor.

The Spanish website also bring us the news that Ten Hag has identified the ‘heir’ to David de Gea’s throne at Man Utd with his potential contract renewal ‘not going well’.

De Gea recently turned down their opening offer with the Red Devils looking to lower his wages and now Man Utd are looking to ‘find a new guardian for their goal’.

And they ‘have found it’ in Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, a player who Ten Hag ‘knows perfectly’ from his…
