CHICAGO – Chicago Fire FC today announced the Club’s theme nights for select home matches during the 2023 MLS regular season. The Club’s 2023 calendar features nine theme nights, including the return of several fan favorites and the introduction of new activations for the Fire’s 26th season in Major League Soccer.

The Club’s theme night calendar will officially begin on Saturday, May 13 with Chicago Sports Day for the team’s first-ever MLS meeting with expansion side and Midwest rival, St. Louis CITY SC, at historic Soldier Field. Chicago Sports Day will serve as a celebration of the city’s rich sports culture, featuring special appearances and activations on matchday. Additionally, as part of the festivities, a number of fans in attendance will receive an exclusive Chicago Fire-branded hockey jersey.

New to the theme night calendar is Heroes Night, presented by Wintrust (July 8 vs. Nashville SC), which will serve as a nod to the city’s first responders. Directly after the team’s matchup against Nashville, fans from both clubs will have an opportunity to watch the Fire and Nashville’s Special Olympics teams face off on the main pitch at Soldier Field, followed by a post-match firework show to cap off the night.

The following theme nights will also debut in 2023: 80’s Night (July 15 vs. Toronto FC) and Military Appreciation Night (Aug. 20 vs. Orlando City SC).
