Tuchel eyes double Chelsea ‘poach’ as Bayern Munich plot £50m move for Liverpool, Man Utd target

Ex-Chelsea boss Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel reportedly ‘wants’ Bayern Munich to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount amid reports linking him with Liverpool and Man Utd.

Mount’s future is in doubt at the moment as his contract at Chelsea is due to expire in 2024.

It is being heavily reported that he will be sold in the summer if he does not agree to extend his contract before then. It has also been indicated that it is ‘very likely’ that he will leave Chelsea later this year with Liverpool and Man Utd interested in him.

The England international has been admired by several different managers at Chelsea but this summer may be the right time for him to move on amid the ongoing rebuild at Stamford Bridge.

A ‘compensation package’ is currently being discussed for Barry, who is staying away from Chelsea’s Cobham training ground until a ‘solution is reached’. The report adds.

Paul Winstanley, the new co-sporting director, has since taken on the duty of negotiations but a deal has not been struck and there is a widespread expectation at Stamford Bridge that Mount ends up leaving.

‘Liverpool have expressed a strong interest in signing Mount as part of Jurgen Klopp’s reboot at Anfield but they are among a group of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe watching the situation closely.’

“They are selling Mason Mount, I cannot believe that,” McAvennie told Football Insider.
