Chelsea considering shock move for Man Utd outcast who wants out of Old Trafford this summer

Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Dean Henderson applauds the fans at the end of the English Premier League soccer match between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa at the City ground in Nottingham, England

Reports have claimed that Chelsea are eyeing up a move for a Manchester United player ahead of the summer transfer window.

Todd Boehly hasn’t held back when investing in his Chelsea side and they are expected to be busy in the summer once again.

Graham Potter’s side currently sit 10th in the Premier League and they will already have one eye on next season.

The goalkeeping department has been a big debating point at Stamford Bridge as Kepa Arrizabalaga has taken Edouard Mendy’s place this season.

Mendy has been linked with a move away from Chelsea and so the club are assessing their options in this position.

“It was all planned out. I was almost gone before the manager came through the door and I haven’t spoken to him since. To be honest with you, it’s probably been the toughest 12 months of my career.

“It’s been tough, it’s been hard and I’m so happy I’ve got out the other end of it. I’m so excited to be here and ready to go.”

Chelsea have previously been interested in Henderson as they reportedly had a £50million bid rejected while Frank Lampard was the manager.

Along with Chelsea, Tottenham are also said to be interested in making a move for Henderson this summer.

Spurs are looking to sign a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris and someone like Henderson fits into the younger profile they are considering.

Henderson is contracted with Man United until the summer of 2025 although a permanent move in…
