Houston Dynamo 2 Announce Roster for 2023 Season

HOUSTON – Houston Dynamo 2 announced their roster for the upcoming 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season.

Nine players that signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract for the 2022 season return in 2023 and the team recently announced the addition of four players for this campaign. Isaiah Reid and Omar Grey joined the team earlier this preseason after stellar collegiate careers at their respective universities. Reid was drafted by the Dynamo with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft. Yair Gonzalez joined Dynamo 2 on loan from Argentinos Juniors in his native Argentina and the team recently signed Ify Udanoh after beginning his youth career in England.

Nine players from the Houston Dynamo FC U-20 and U-17 squads will be eligible for the opening match of the season later today against Austin FC II. The list includes Joseph Farouz, who has spent time with the Egyptian youth national team setup. Diego Rosas and Cesar Cordova are also eligible and return to the team after earning minutes with Dynamo 2 in 2022.

Ezekiel Soto, who recently joined the U-17 U.S. Youth National Team, is one of four Dynamo Academy players from the U-17 squad. Brian Alanis, Tate Lampman and Sebastian Rodriguez will also be eligible for today’s match against Austin FC II.
