Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been told that he will have “four options” this summer amid reports linking him with Man Utd and Bayern Munich.
The Englishman is out of contract in 2024 and he may be sold this summer if he does not commit his future to Tottenham Hotspur before this summer’s transfer window.
The striker turns 30 in the summer and he is valued at £100m. But there will no doubt be significant interest in him as he’s been in stunning form this season. He has been involved in 24 goals in 37 outings across all competitions.
Man Utd are known to be in the market for a new striker ahead of this summer and Kane is understood to be their preferred target.
Stan Collymore feels that Man Utd will only be one of “four options” for Kane this summer as Bayern, Chelsea and Man City will also want him.
The pundit is “starting to wonder” whether Real Madrid will sign Erling Haaland this summer. If they do, he reckons Man City will go back in for Kane.
“I can see Harry Kane having three — possibly four — options in the summer: Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich … and Manchester City,” Collymore told The Mirror.
“I’m just speculating with City because I’m starting to wonder if Real Madrid might come in with a £150million-plus offer for Erling Haaland that might tempt them to sell this summer or next.
“And I also wonder if any part of Haaland thinks he’s not getting the opportunities to showcase all his footballing talents, his swagger, at the Etihad.
“I know he’s scoring a shedload of goals but it’s conceivable that he wants to leave a legacy on the game of a swashbuckling player who had it all rather than just someone who could poke them in from close range. We’ll see on that one but if he did go then, comparatively, they could get Kane, who they have tried to get before, for next to nothing.”
Collymore later suggested that it is a “no-brainer” for Kane to leave Tottenham this summer.
“Either way, after Tottenham’s Champions League exit confirmed another trophy-less season for Kane, I’m convinced it’s a no-brainer for him to move on and, if he does go somewhere, it will come down to his chances of winning silverware and the supply line at his new club,” Collymore added.
