STATESBORO, Ga. – In its final preseason friendly, South Georgia Tormenta FC will take on Stetson University this Saturday, March 11, at 1 p.m. ET from Optim Sports Medicine FIeld at Tormenta Stadium. Following two consecutive defeats to USL Championship sides, South Georgia looks to end its preseason with a win in front of its fans.
Last Saturday, Tormenta FC saw defeat against the Charleston Battery despite many positive plays through the offensive line.
After being announced this week, Davey Mason will officially make his Tormenta FC debut this Saturday after trialing with the club since the beginning of the preseason.
Despite the early setbacks, the team is determined to turn things around and finish strong before the regular season begins next Friday at North Carolina FC. Tormenta FC Head Coach Ian Cameron and his team have been working on improving its strategy and fine-tuning its skills.
The growing 2023 Tormenta FC roster features a strong core of returners ready to fight for a second League One title with the added power of new midfielder Matheus Cassini, first-year professional Collin Mocyunas and many more new additions.
Tormenta FC fans can secure their seats at the new Tormenta Stadium ahead of 2023, with Season Tickets now available for purchase.
