UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State men’s soccer head coach Jeff Cook announces Mohamed Cisset out of Montverde Academy has signed with the team. Cisset is a defender from Montreal, Canada and has spent the last four years playing in the SIMA program at Montverde Academy in Florida. Cisset ranks sixth in the nation in the 2023 class.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mohamed as the newest member of our Nittany Lions Men’s Soccer program,” said Cook. “He has consistently demonstrated a high level of performance on the field and is one of the most talented and intelligent defenders we have seen in this recruiting cycle. Mohamed has been a standout performer in the SIMA program at Montverde Academy, where he has excelled on and off the field. We look forward to his contributions and continued growth at Penn State.”

Sixth ranked Cisset helped lead his team to win the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament (MAST), in 2022 and in 2023. He netted a goal in the Championship Game in the 2023 MAST. Cisset also helped the team to a Junior Cup trophy and scored in the final game.

“Penn State is rich in culture and history,” Cisset said. “I can’t pass up an amazing opportunity that God has put on my path.”
