EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern made great strides in the opening match of its Spring season against Notre Dame on Sunday, February 26 at Wilson Field inside Ryan Fieldhouse.
The ‘Cats took on the Irish this past weekend in a thrilling match to kick off the 2023 Spring season. The match, which was split in to three periods of 30-mins, ended 3-1 in favor of the visitors. The Irish opened the scoring in the first period which gave them a 1-0 lead going in to the second period. Notre Dame added two more in the second period before junior, Joe Arena, scored from a header to put the ‘Cats on the scoresheet.
Next up, the ‘Cats take on UIC in the opening round of the 2023 Chicago Cup on April 1st inside Walter Athletics Center. Kickoff is set for 4:00 P.M.
