‘Frustrated’ Arsenal star ‘plotting’ summer exit as Newcastle line up three signings

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney takes a throw-in

Scotland international Kieran Tierney is looking to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window amid interest from Newcastle United, according to reports.

The Gunners have are having an outstanding season in the Premier League with Mikel Arteta’s side leading the way after 24 matches.

Arsenal, who beat Leicester City 1-0 on Saturday, are currently two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City with a game in hand as they look to win their first title for 20 years.

The report adds that ambitious Newcastle are ‘still on the trail’ of Leicester City playmaker James Maddison, ‘monitoring’ Brighton striker Evan Ferguson and their ‘scouts are also running checks on in-demand Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott’.

Former Premier League defender Alan Hutton thinks Tierney “would suit” Newcastle if he made the move from Arsenal to St James’ Park.
