The Demon Deacons made the NCAA tournament all four years of Dunwell’s college career, including an appearance in the National Championship in 2016.

“I’m super excited to join Charlotte Independence and do everything I can to bring the club success,” Dunwell said. “Mike and his staff have put together a great squad and I’ve really enjoyed the environment so far. The guys have been really welcoming and helpful in getting me settled into this awesome city. I can’t wait to get out at Memorial Stadium and feel the supporters’ energy.”
