SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC today shared details surrounding Major League Soccer’s recent agreement with DIRECTV, making DIRECTV for BUSINESS the national provider to commercial locations in the United States for MLS Season Pass, the unprecedented subscription service from Apple and MLS. Through this agreement, DIRECTV is able to provide top action from all MLS clubs to its network of more than 300,000 restaurants, bars, hotel lounges, retail shops and other venues on existing satellite equipment.
MLS Season Pass through DIRECTV for BUSINESS provides access to the entire MLS regular season – offering every single match from every single club, without any local blackouts or restrictions – the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs and Leagues Cup play. For Sounders FC fans, this agreement gives their favorite establishments the ability to easily deliver access to the Rave Green’s matches, both home and away, all season long through MLS Season Pass provided by DIRECTV for BUSINESS.
The DIRECTV Sports Bar Finder app, available on the App Store, offers an easy way to find businesses that provide MLS Season Pass. MLS Season Pass games can be found on DIRECTV for BUSINESS channels 9475-9490.
Sounders FC is excited to support this program and bring all of Seattle’s matches to establishments throughout the United States, wherever Sounders fans might gather to cheer for their club. To encourage business to take part in providing MLS Season Pass, Sounders FC is offering a special ticket giveaway for locations that choose to sign up for the service through DIRECTV for BUSINESS.
Bars and restaurants that sign up for MLS Season Pass can request tickets – up to eight per game for both the club’s February 26 home opener vs. Colorado and its March 4 match vs. Real Salt Lake – to use as promotional giveaways or prizes for customers. This offer is not limited to strictly Seattle-based businesses and is open to any establishment offering MLS Season Pass that feels tickets to the aforementioned Sounders FC home matches would be useful and enjoyed by patrons.
