SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego Wave FC announced today its full preseason schedule ahead of the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season. The slate is highlighted by an open-door contest at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, March 18, as the Wave take on Angel City FC.


“Our preseason schedule is a fantastic opportunity for us to test ourselves against different levels of competition and fine-tune our preparations for the 2023 season,” said Casey Stoney, Head Coach of San Diego Wave FC. “Playing a local collegiate team as well as fellow NWSL teams will provide a diverse and challenging environment for our players to grow and improve.”

The match between the two Southern California clubs will be open to Wave FC Season Ticket Members only. Season tickets are currently on sale for as little as $210 and can be purchased here. Wave FC season tickets include a ticket to all the club’s 14matches, including the NWSL UKG Challenge Cup matches, along with exclusive events and gifts.

Ahead of the club’s second campaign, the Wave kicked off preseason on Monday, Feb. 6, at San Diego Polo Fields in Del Mar, Calif. The team’s first scrimmage will take place on Feb. 19 against University of Southern California (USC), followed by two contests against fellow NWSL clubs in Houston Dash (March 5) and Kansas City Current (March 11). All three matches are closed door.
