Liverpool seek ‘pre-summer deal’ to sign the ‘next Jude Bellingham’ but target is ‘in-demand’

Liverpool target Hall

Liverpool are reportedly ‘keeping close tabs’ on Birmingham City teenager George Hall, who has been described as the ‘next Jude Bellingham’.

The 18-year-old is following in the footsteps of Bellingham, as both players have progressed through the ranks at the Championship outfit.

Hall made his debut for Birmingham last season and he has played 18 games this term in the second tier.

The midfielder is already being linked elsewhere. Back in December, it was reported that Liverpool, Leeds United and Everton are all interested in the teenager.

Football Insider are now reporting that Liverpool’s scouts have been keeping a close eye on Hall this season. A summer move for the Birmingham starlet is being ‘weighed up’.

Potentially George can go right to the top, he has got something different to a lot of younger players, that explosive power, that robustness, for such a young boy he is such an exciting player to watch.

“He has been great [with his injury], he is a very level-headed boy. He is a lovely lad, no ego to him, he’s been disappointed of course he has but he has got on with his rehab, he has been very professional on that side of it.

“He is looking sharp, he joined in for ten-15 minutes today, it was great to have him back involved and we are looking forward to having him fully back on Monday.”
