Grading EVERY Premier League clubs’ January transfer window

Chelsea's American owner Todd Boehly spent over £300m in a hectic January transfer window

And breathe. The January transfer window is over and managers now know exactly what they’re working with for the rest of the season.

The mid-season window can be a little anti-climatic, with clubs deciding to stick with what they’ve got rather than risking any disruptions to their squad for the second half of the season.

That wasn’t the case this time, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham all doing major business on deadline day.

Loaning out Albert Sambi Lokonga to Crystal Palace could also prove wise, with the Belgian midfielder now likely to get more game time at Selhurst Park.

A very solid month for Arsenal, and they look well-equipped to maintain their title charge.

Grade: B

Aston Villa

A fairly quiet month for Unai Emery’s men, who signed Alex Moreno and Jhon Duran.

Moreno is a player that Emery knows well from his time in Spain, and he looks set to provide Lucas Digne with competition for his place at left-back, while Duran may have to bide his time as he is likely to start off behind Ollie Watkins in the pecking order.

The Villans loaned out Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey to promotion-chasing Middlesbrough, while Marvelous Nakamba has gone to Luton on a temporary basis.
