Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing is looking to leave amid interest from Valencia.

The Danish international has been a pivotal player for the Cherries this season, with his performances attracting the interest of the LaLiga side.

Billing has featured in 19 of the Cherries 20 Premier League matches this season.

The 26-year-old has earned praise from manager Gary O’Neil for his ability to play in multiple roles for his side.

Billing has largely been used in a more advanced role since O’Neil took charge earlier this season.

He has contributed four goals and one assist this season, making him Bournemouth’s joint top scorer alongside Kieffer Moore, Dominic Solanke and Jaidon Anthony.

Billing was nominated for the Premier League player of the month award in September with two of his goals contributing to Bournemouth earning four points across two away games.

The midfielder was absent for Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, a result which saw O’Neil’s side slide into the bottom three on goal difference.

O’Neil said Billing had missed the match due to a ‘slight muscle injury’ and admitted his absence had been a blow due to him being a ‘huge player’ for the club. 

The Cherries want to strengthen their squad and continue to pursue Inter Milan wing-back Robin Gosens.
