Arsenal, Tottenham learn asking price for wantaway star but Brighton vow they ‘won’t be bullied’ into sale

Arsenal-linked Trossard

Brighton and Hove Albion’s asking price for Leandro Trossard has reportedly been revealed amid reports linking him with Arsenal and Tottenham.

The midfielder was in fine form for the Seagulls at the start of this season as they enjoyed a great start to the campaign under Graham Potter.

Trossard is still the club’s leading scorer this term as he has grabbed seven goals and two assists in 16 Premier League outings.

The 28-year-old finds himself in a difficult situation at Brighton though as he has butted heads with new boss Roberto De Zerbi.

The Belgium international has not featured for Brighton in recent games and he has been made to train on his own. According to De Zerbi, this is down to his ongoing “attitude” issues.

His apparent attitude issues have come to the fore as he is looking for a move away from Brighton.

Trossard’s contract is set to expire later this year but Brighton do have the option to extend his deal until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

“The manager told Leandro that he had to train separately. Last Monday, the manager humiliated Leandro in group and indicated that he no longer wanted to see him. A manager who has not communicated directly with his player for four weeks is really incomprehensible. Incidentally, it is also the manager who has indicated several times that a transfer is the most convenient solution.

“It is therefore important that Brighton cooperates with a transfer during this transfer period and shows a benevolent attitude, which is beneficial to both parties.”

On Monday, it was reported that Tottenham have had a £12m offer rejected for Trossard and talkSPORT are now claiming that the Londoners are going ‘head-to-head with Arsenal’ in battling for the midfielder.

The report adds that Brighton will ‘not be bullied into a sale’ and they will hold out for a fee of at least £25m.

A separate report from 90min confirms that ‘Brighton will not be bullied into an enforced sale’.

They add that ‘an exit will only be granted if their demands are met by an asking team’.

While talkSPORT state that Brighton’s asking…
