Chelsea branded ‘insane’ for giving Benoit Badiashile a seven-and-a-half year deal

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old defender Benoit Badiashile from Monaco

‘It’s a VERY risky thing’: Chelsea’s decision to hand new signing Benoit Badiashile a seven-and-a-half year deal is branded ‘absolutely INSANE’ by fans – as they warn the Blues about Alan Pardew’s eight-year contract at Newcastle!

Football fans have mocked Chelsea for giving new signing Benoit Badiashile a seven-and-a-half year deal – pointing out how a long-term contract can cause problems down the line.

Graham Potter’s side confirmed the £35million signing of the 21-year-old on Thursday after reaching an agreement to sign him earlier this week.

Paddy Power also weighed in, mocking up a photo of Alan Pardew after the infamous eight-year-deal he signed in 2012.

The Englishman ended up leaving the club just over two years into the contract.

They accompanied the photo of Pardew with the caption: ‘Benoit Badiashile signs a Chelsea contract that…
