Leeds United have continued talks with Red Bull Salzburg over a £14million deal for defender Max Wober.

Leeds showed interest in Philadelphia Union‘s Kai Wagner last summer but have switched to Wober and the fee could rise to around £14m with add-ons.

Marsch is known for dipping into the market for some of his former players, having done exactly that in the summer.

The Leeds boss brought Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen to Elland Road from Salzburg, while also adding Tyler Adams to his squad from RB Leipzig.

Wober, who has previously played for Ajax and Sevilla, has made 125 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg since joining the club in August 2019.

He joined the club for £10.6m, making him the most expensive player in the Austrian Bundesliga.
