Man Utd ‘prepare’ £173m for Ten Hag to bring in three World Cup stars in January

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag looks intensely onto the pitch

Premier League side Man Utd are reportedly ready to back Erik ten Hag in the January transfer window with three major signings.

The Red Devils have put themselves in a decent position to kick on after the World Cup break with Erik ten Hag guiding them to fifth in the Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with a game in hand.

Man Utd have only lost twice in their last 12 Premier League matches and they will be hoping to pick up where they left off with a last-gasp win over Fulham November 13.

Gakpo, who starred at the World Cup as well as Ramos, would be available for around €80m, according to Nacional, while another of their targets Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic could be available on loan.

Man Utd striker Martial may have suffered with a number of injuries during his time at Old Trafford but former Red Devils midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger insists there is no doubting his “potential”.

Schweinsteiger told United’s official website: “His potential is immense. I remember very well when he arrived at United, and he scored the goal against Liverpool in a special way.

“But he has to understand that first, you know, and that’s the job of the coaches and…
