Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool stars face big decisions on contracts

Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount

Contracts are running out both willy and nilly and Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Roberti Firmino are all facing a big decision with big moves and big money offered…

RASHFORD DECISION LOOMING
Manchester United WILL trigger the one-year extension for Marcus Rashford – according to the Daily Mail – but that will only tie him to the club until 2024, so will realistically only ensure United get a transfer fee for the forward next summer if he refuses to sign a new deal at United.

PSG are said to have been in touch with Rashford’s agents as they see him as a viable alternative to Kylian Mbappe, who still wants to leave.

“He has to make a decision,” said Ten Hag when told of interest from PSG. “We can only show him that this is the best club to be in. It has to do with the culture of the club, but also in the way we are working together. It has to do with the way we play and the way we train. Are we offering the right environment to progress further?”

MOUNT DECISION LOOMING
Talking of England World Cup players who are reluctant to commit to their boyhood club, Mason Mount has turned down a £200,000-a-week contract with Chelsea and has become a target for Juventus, according to Calciomercatoweb.

Those three players who could exit Juventus to make room for Mount – is he so good he can replace three players? – are Leandro Paredes, Weston McKennie and Adrien Rabiot, who between them have contributed to a mini-crisis that sees the Old Lady ten points behind leaders Napoli in the Serie A title race.

ROBERTO FIRMINO DECISION LOOMING
There are a lot of decisions looming, with Roberto Firmino potentially facing the trickiest of the lot. The Mirror say that Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr are turning their attentions to the Brazilian after Cristiano Ronaldo made it clear that he is not interested in ending his career in the Middle East.

Firmino is out of contract next summer and could sign a lucrative pre-transfer agreement with a club in January, though Liverpool want him to sign an extension after he contributed nine goals this season in an unexpected revival of fortunes. So does he choose the club he undoubtedly loves or a massive pay-day elsewhere?
